Eskom Solar Geyser Installation Rebates
Installing a SolarTech Solar Geyser system by one of our accredited dealers will entitle you to the following rebate from Eskom as well as save you 90% on your water heating bill.
Eskom is mandated by the National Energy Regulator of South Africa to implement energy efficiency measures that would ensure the optimal use of the available electricity in the country.
In order to meet the growing demand for electricity which as resulted from the exceptional economic growth in the country in recent years, Eskom will also pursue energy and demand savings on a large scale to mitigate system challenges.
Having a solar geyser system on your roof is like having your own mini-power station, except that once the system has been paid for you will get your hot water free of charge. Eskom is doing this to try to meet the government's target of 10 000 Gigawatt hours of renewable energy generation by 2013.
Eskom's involvement is aimed as at providing an incentive to the customer towards buying a more efficient water heating Solution.

HOMEMAKERS EXPO AT THE CTCC - SolarTech Solar Geyser Systems
Solartech recently hosted a solar geysers promotion stand at the Cape Town Convention Center From the 2nd to the 6th of September.
Record crowds in excess of 10,000 people visited this year’s show, which once again shows the pathology of cocooning, in times of recession.
Downturns are defined in terms of standard retail sales, but in actual fact the public continue to spend money, just elsewhere, in this case on improving their home!
This year’s EXPO saw seven players from the Solar water Heating market.
Solartech has great visibility, and ensured our stand looked great, with two solar geysers on display, our Flat Plate K150 series and an example of the EVT Retrofit system.
What was interesting was the fact that more people seemed to be informed, and were asking better buying questions, like
1. When can you install
2. How long will it take
3. Can you use my existing system
4. How much money will I save
5. Do you have offices in my area
Walking around the EXPO, I was surprised to see how many solar water heating industry representatives were there, in fact we represented the largest industry sector there.
All in all it was a great week, in excess of 300 qualified leads, and once again Solartech proved itself to be the bench mark….
