Upgrading or Converting a Traditional Geyser

SolarTech can also retrofit or upgrade your existing high pressure standard geyser or water heater for almost half the cost of a new system.

The retrofit system is designed and engineered specifically for retrofit application, where we can employ the existing geyser, should it meet our technical criteria.

This will not effect your 5 warranty as SolarTech are certified to upgrade certain major brands. This is a excellent way to save money on your monthly electricity bill, up to 40% in fact.

Retrofit uses EVT Heat Pipe Technology. This technology represents one of the most efficient solar collectors on the market. The collectors have been certified by Fraunhofer Institut Solare Energiesysteme and have successfully completed SABS testing as of publication date.

The conversion of the geyser can have two system possibilities:

1. Direct System conversion:

The direct solar geyser upgrade conversion system is used in frost-free locations where the ambient temperature never falls below 5 degrees and where the water quality is good (less than 600ppm Total Dissolved Solids/Minerals).

A Purpose made thermostat and element replaces the existing flange, thermostat and element of the current geyser.

2. Indirect System Conversion:

The indirect solar geyser upgrade conversion system is used in locations where frost occurs where the ambient temperature falls below 5 degrees and where the water quality is poor (more than 600ppm Total Dissolved Solids/Minerals).

A Purpose made flange, coil and thermostat, element replaces the existing flange, thermostat and element of the current geyser.
